ASB has had a closely aligned relationship with Perth Airport since 2015. We regularly help the team with outreach and marketing efforts. In 2018, Perth Airport approached us to design a new community engagement and outreach initiative.
Perth Airport, a client we have worked with since 2015, recently engaged us to help with a community outreach campaign.
They wanted to create young ambassadors for Perth Airport through the design and creation of fun and engaging activity kits for young airport visitors, aged between 4-12.
We started by running through their hand-sketched ideas and agreeing on a budget and timeline.
Our design team got to work on brainstorming creative ideas right away and our branded merchandise team set about sourcing the perfect products. We were asked to include Australian-made and plastic-free items only, which was no issue given the range we have.
The resulting bag, book and stickers were all custom-drawn by one of our designers, Ale. By having high quality full-time designers like him, the sky is the limit when it comes to delivering a great outcome.
In the words of our client Anna Dickie, Community & Partnerships Program Manager Perth Airport:
We really love the look and design of the activity packs and the fact that we were able to customise them was fantastic. We didn’t want just a standard pack, we wanted it to be airport related with a real aviation/travel theme to link to our business and ASB delivered! The packs have been a hit with kids of all ages, from the younger ones that just like to colour in and play with the stickers to older kids who love the puzzles.
The kit was not only environmentally friendly, but it was also 100% Australian-made, educational, fun and was a flying success for Perth Airport.
